Photo rejuvenation using intense pulse light (or IPL) is a non-invasive aesthetic procedure, which is used to treat a wide range of skin conditions on the face, hands, and body, including telangiectasia, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, wrinkles, scars, spider veins, and irregularities of skin texture, breakouts and acne.
Each treatment lasts for approximately 30 minutes, with little discomfort, and no downtime for recovery or need for concealers. Patients are able to return to their daily activities as soon as the treatment is completed. Improvements associated with IPL are gradual and the number of treatments required usually ranges from five to seven, done approximately once every three to four weeks. Once the desired results are achieved, it is recommended to have one maintenance treatment done every three to four months.
